Gail represents trade unions and progressive employers in all aspects of labour litigation before labour boards, human rights tribunals, arbitrators and courts. She was a vice-chair of the Ontario Labour Relations Board for seven years before returning to private practice.

Gail speaks at numerous conferences, and conducts courses and seminars on labour-related issues. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Working Women Community Centre.
