Most of our work is representing our clients in front of various adjudicative
bodies - including labour boards, arbitrators, etc. We prepare cases to ensure
the best results possible. We attempt to put our client’s position forth
forcefully and convincingly. We believe our preparation, experience, knowledge,
advocacy skills and reputation with adjudicators provides our clients with
the best chance of success.
Value
We believe our hourly rates are more than competitive with comparable firms.
However, we recognize that comparing hourly rates is misleading. It is the
total amount of a legal bill that is important to any client. With our knowledge
and experience, we fully prepare for cases in a time-efficient manner. We
attempt to negotiate resolutions to problems and cases, if at all possible.
If a case cannot be resolved, we try to have problems adjudicated expeditiously.
In short, our goal is to provide the best value for the money you spend on
legal services.
Professionalism

integrity. We believe that our reputation in the labour relations’ community
reflects favourably on our clients and best serves our clients’interest.
Communication and
Education
We attempt to keep our clients fully apprised of the status of any cases we
are handling on their behalf. We provide the home telephone numbers of our
lawyers to insure you can reach us on short notice if the need arises. We
send notices to our clients if there is a significant development or change
in the law that will impact on them. Finally, we have always offered to provide
a lawyer to our clients, without charge, to speak to union representatives
or at stewards’ meetings on any topic of interest.
Office Facilities
Our office is centrally located, within easy walking distance of the Ontario
Labour Relations Board, JPR Arbitration/Mediation, the Courts and the Canada
Industrial Relations Board. We are connected by underground access to municipal
parking under the Toronto City Hall and are within walking distance of the
TTC, Go Transit and the train station. Our philosophy is to have a conveniently
located, efficient work space, but unlike many other firms, no frills and
no extraneous costs that we need to recover from our clients.
