Recognized as one of Canada’s foremost labour lawyers, Doug has been an exceptional legal advisor and advocate of trade unions and related organizations for over 40 years. He brings experience and insight to each matter and provides thorough representation to every client. 

In addition to frequent appearances before Labour Boards and Arbitrators, Doug has argued many significant cases before the Superior Court of Ontario, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.

An important part of Doug’s practice involves construction industry labour relations issues, including jurisdictional disputes and sector cases.

Working with organizations in a number of different sectors and industries, Doug represents his clients’ interests in negotiation, arbitration, labour Board proceedings and court as well as assists them in reaching collective bargaining agreements and resolving important workplace issues.  

Doug is consistently recognized for his labour law expertise by such legal publications as Global Law Experts, Best Lawyers, and Lexpert/American Lawyer.
